We Make Your Complaints Heard!

Last week, Arizona news station ABC15 published the story - Website helping make your telemarketing concerns heard. Can anyone guess that website? Thats right, they were featuring CallerComplaints.com. We have been lucky to receive mentions from many prominent news sources including Mashable, The Washington Post, and MSNBC, but always enjoy when others notice our work!

Reporter Joe Ducey said, "We hoped the Do Not Call List would help stop those annoying telemarketers from calling during dinner, but many people are still getting calls...That's where the website CallerComplaints.com enters the picture."

"It allows people to see scam trends, like the extended car warranty calls, far and away the most popular according to complaints from the last 30 days. To read the entire article, click HERE.

Ducey is absolutely correct...auto warranty scams represent a significant portion of complaints made on this site. From the past 7 days, two of the top three numbers reported are auto warranty sales companies. These telemarketers can be particularly sneaky, and will try to trick you into making a purchase--when oftentimes this is not in your best interest.

Therefore, we provide many resources on this site to help you. Please check out blog posts "Telemarketers Forced To Halt Car Warranty Scam" and "Car Warranty Scams Out Of Control" to learn more about recent scams and to find out how to avoid and deal with them!

One of the most important points to remember is to report the number of a telemarketer that you know is being deceptive or making illegal solicitations (like violating the Do Not Call List!). This alerts the community to the problem, and hopefully will save others time and money.

Please report these numbers: ALWAYS here at CallerComplaints.com; with the FTC's Do Not Call List if you are registered; and at the FTC's Complaint Assistant site if you suspect fraud.

When you start looking online for home equity loans, you will find that everyone is offering what they call “the best home equity loan”. Apart from the fact that most lenders are offering you sales hyperbole, you also need to be cognizant of the fact that the best home equity loan varies from person to person. What might turn out to be the “best” home equity loan for your best friend could turn out to be a bad deal for you because different people have different needs and requirements. Only you can judge what the “best home equity loan” is for you, based upon your current and future needs and financial status.

However, there are still some things that do define the difference between a good home equity loan and a bad one.
